Altarpieces – Michael Stephan, 1864

The altarpieces were part of the neo-Gothic high altar of the church which was designed in 1864 by the sculptor Michael Stephan of Cologne.

The pictures show the four great Latin Doctors of the Church: Hieronymus, Ambrosius, Gregorius, and Augustinus.
